Feedback is the main PAX form for sending feature requests and bug reports from inside the authenticated dashboard.
What this screen is for
Use Feedback when you want to tell the PAX team about a feature you need or a bug you found while working in PAX.
Feedback is global dashboard chrome, not part of one business module. You can open it from the main dashboard while you are in a module modal, which makes it useful for reporting the screen or workflow you are looking at.
Feedback does not change orders, invoices, payments, inventory, lots, work orders, vendors, customers, accounting records, settings, or user permissions.
Screen path
Dashboard > Feedback
The Feedback button appears in the lower-right area of the main dashboard near Logout.
Who can use Feedback
Any authenticated user on the main PAX dashboard can use Feedback.
Floor users who are routed to the shop dashboard do not use this main-dashboard Feedback button.
Key areas
Feedback button
The Feedback button opens the feedback form.
Type selector
The form has two choices:
| Choice | Use it for |
|---|---|
Feature Request |
Asking for something PAX does not do today or for an improvement to an existing workflow. |
Bug Report |
Reporting something broken, incorrect, blocked, or behaving differently than expected. |
The form opens on Feature Request by default.
Description
Description is required. It accepts up to 5,000 characters and shows a character count below the text box.
For feature requests, explain the screen or workflow, what you want PAX to do, and any workaround you are using.
For bug reports, include the screen or module, the record number or code if one is involved, the steps you took, what you expected, what happened, and any error message you saw.
Screenshot tools
Screenshot tools appear only for Bug Report.
Use Capture screenshot when a picture of the current PAX screen will help explain the problem. Your browser asks which window or tab to share. Choose the current PAX tab.
After capture, PAX shows a preview and an Attach to report checkbox. Leave it checked to include the screenshot, or clear it if the preview should not be attached.

What happens behind the scenes
When you submit Feedback, PAX checks your authenticated session and tenant before sending anything.
PAX sends the feedback through the tenant's saved Email Configuration. The message includes the feedback type, your description, the tenant, your user identity where available, the page URL, the browser user agent, and the submission time.
For bug reports, PAX includes the screenshot only when one was captured and Attach to report is checked. If the screenshot data cannot be accepted, PAX can still send the bug report without the attachment.
PAX records successful and failed sends in email logs. Failed sends include the returned error message where available.
Feedback has no accounting, inventory, costing, lot traceability, or transaction-posting impact.
Troubleshooting
I do not see Feedback
Likely cause: You are not on the main authenticated PAX dashboard, or you are using a floor/shop account.
Safe fix: Sign in to the main PAX dashboard with your normal user account.
Contact support if: You are on the main dashboard and the Feedback button is still missing.
Send is disabled
Likely cause: Description is blank, PAX is waiting for screenshot capture, or PAX is already sending the feedback.
Safe fix: Enter a description, finish or cancel any browser screen-share prompt, and wait for any active send to finish.
Contact support if: The form is not sending or capturing but Send remains unavailable.
Email is not configured for this tenant
Likely cause: The tenant does not have saved Email Configuration.
Safe fix: Ask an admin or executive user to configure and test outgoing email.
Contact support if: Email Configuration is saved and test emails work, but Feedback still shows this message.
Failed to send report
Likely cause: The outgoing email service rejected the message or returned an error.
Safe fix: Retry once. If it fails again, ask an admin or executive user to send a test email from Email Configuration.
Contact support if: Test emails work but Feedback continues to fail.
